The Distributed Civilization Project

Put a civilization backup in every household.

Every home has a first aid kit nobody expects to use. Almost no home has a knowledge kit — the reference library you would need to treat a wound, purify water, restart a pump or teach a child, on the day the network that holds all of it is gone. We are trying to change that, and we would rather not do it alone.

The initiative

Humanity's working knowledge — medicine, agriculture, engineering, chemistry, sanitation, navigation, education — is the most valuable thing our species owns. Today, for most people, all of it lives in exactly one place: a network of data centres owned by a handful of companies, reachable only while the power, the cables and the business models all hold.

That is a remarkable achievement and a remarkable single point of failure. It has already failed regionally, repeatedly: storms, floods, fires, cable cuts, grid collapses, state shutdowns. Each time, the people inside the outage discover that the knowledge they assumed they had was only ever rented, and the rental office is closed.

A library in one place is a single point of failure. A million copies is not.

The fix is not a bigger data centre. It is distribution — the same answer civilization has reached before. Monasteries copied manuscripts so no fire could end them. Seed banks are duplicated across continents so no drought can. Every serious archive in history survived by being in many hands at once.

So that is what we are building toward: a copy of the essentials in every household that wants one. Not a subscription to a library. A library you own, that sits on a shelf, runs on sunlight, answers in plain language, and does not care whether the internet exists this week.

Why a household, and not a data centre

The first aid kit standard

Nobody buys a first aid kit because they expect an accident. They buy it because the cost of having one is small and the cost of needing one without it is unbounded. A knowledge vault is the same trade, on a longer timescale.

Resilience is a numbers game

One protected archive can be lost. Ten thousand ordinary homes, each holding the same library, cannot be — not by a storm, an outage, a bankruptcy or a policy change. Ordinariness is the security model.

Own your intelligence

There is a second reason, and for a growing number of people it is the first one: the intelligence you rely on should not have someone else's hand on the switch.

When your AI lives on a server you do not control, you are not the customer of a tool — you are a tenant. And the landlord decides:

  • Whether it answers at all todayOutages, rate limits, capacity given to bigger customers than you.
  • What it is allowed to tell youPolicies written for the average of a hundred million users, not for your situation.
  • What it costs next yearPrices set after you have built your work around it.
  • Whether it exists next yearModels are deprecated, companies are acquired, products are discontinued. Your dependency is not their commitment.
  • Who else sees what you askedEvery question about your health, your money, your family, logged on infrastructure you cannot audit.
  • Whether your country is served at allSanctions, licensing and regional blocks are decided far above you.

None of that is villainy. It is just what renting means. But it makes a bad foundation for the one capability you would need most in a bad week — and an even worse one for anything you automate around it.

If someone else can switch off your intelligence, it was never yours.

GenesisOne and GenesisBox are the opposite arrangement. The model runs on the device. The library is on the disk. The power can come from the sun. No account, no subscription, no telemetry, no permission required — and no company, ours included, able to reach in and change what it will do for you. We think that should be normal, and affordable, and in ordinary homes rather than only in well-funded ones.

That is the whole argument. If it resonates, you are the kind of partner we are looking for.

The partner programme

You send people to something genuinely useful and free — a two-minute readiness test and two printable field guides. We handle the follow-up. When someone you introduced reserves a device, you earn a share of what we actually collect.

Commission10%

Of the revenue we actually collect from customers you introduce. Not of list price, not of refunded money — of what lands.

Attribution window90 days

A click is remembered for three months. If they come back a month later and reserve, it is still yours.

Refund hold30 days

Deposits are refundable, so commission matures for 30 days before it becomes payable. Refunds reverse it automatically.

PayoutsMonthly

Paid on invoice once your balance is over €50, by bank transfer or PayPal — or as credit against your own GenesisBox.

What you get, the day you are approved

  • Your own tracking linksAs many as you want — one per video, newsletter, group or campaign — so you can see what actually worked.
  • A live dashboardClicks, signups, reservations, commission earned, what is maturing and what is ready to pay. Your data only.
  • The full asset kitProduct renders with transparent backgrounds, share cards, logos, both field guides as PDFs, and copy you can paste.
  • Honest guidance on claimsWhat to say and what not to say, so nobody promises a delivery date we have not committed to.
  • A person to talk toNot a ticket queue. Reply to any of our emails.

How it works

  1. Apply below. Tell us who your audience is and how you would introduce us. We read every application by hand.
  2. We approve you and create your first link. Usually within two working days.
  3. Share it. The readiness test converts best with audiences who have never heard of us; the product page is better for people who already have.
  4. Watch it work. Clicks and signups appear in your dashboard immediately; reservations as they happen.
  5. Get paid monthly. Send an invoice for the matured balance and we transfer it.

Who we are looking for

Creators and writers

Preparedness, off-grid living, homesteading, security, privacy, amateur radio, resilience. If your audience already thinks about this, the test does the explaining for you.

Businesses and retailers

Outdoor and emergency supply, solar and power, rural internet, security installers, survival training. A knowledge vault sits naturally beside what you already sell.

Communities and organisers

Neighbourhood resilience groups, volunteer emergency services, faith and mutual-aid networks, rural cooperatives, schools.

Distributors in your country

If you want to represent GenesisBox in a market we do not cover yet, say so in your application — those conversations are different, and we want to have them.

One thing we will not do

We do not want volume at the cost of honesty. Do not promise delivery dates, do not present the specification as final while it is in development, and do not sell this as medical or safety advice. Partners who oversell get removed — it costs us more than it earns.

Become a partner

Apply in two minutes

No minimum audience. No exclusivity. Tell us who you reach and how you would introduce GenesisBox, and we will come back within two working days.

GenesisBox is a product of FINQUP Technology OOD, 37 Georgi Benkovski Str., Sofia 1000, Bulgaria. UIC/VAT BG207033081. Commission is paid on invoice; partners are independent and responsible for their own taxes. Devices are in development: specifications and prices shown anywhere on this site are targets, not commitments.
