In short: genesisbox.org sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics. We count visits ourselves, without cookies. If you save cookie preferences, we remember your choice in your browser. Stripe's payment page sets its own cookies to process payments safely.
1. What cookies are
Cookies, and similar technologies such as local storage, are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, like analytics and advertising cookies, need your consent first.

Optional tools, only if you say yes
We may use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) to measure which posts and adverts bring people to the site. When either is switched on, you will see a choice the first time you visit. They load only if you choose Allow, and they set their own cookies (for example _ga and _fbp, which last up to 2 years). If you choose No thanks, or do nothing, they never load. Our lawful basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can change your mind any time on Cookie Preferences using the Marketing switch.
How we count visits without cookies
We keep our own aggregated statistics: how many people opened the site, which sections they read and for how long, how far they scrolled, which buttons they clicked, the type of device and browser, the language and the time zone, and the site that linked them to us.
Nothing is stored in your browser for this, and no identifier follows you. To tell one visitor from another on a given day, we use a one-way hash of your IP address and browser combined with a secret that changes every midnight UTC. The result cannot be turned back into your IP address, and the next day the same visitor counts as a new one. We never store the IP address itself, and none of this data is shared with anyone or used for advertising.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether our own website works (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can switch it off on Cookie Preferences, and we also respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.
3. Third parties
- Stripe: when you reserve, you're sent to Stripe's secure payment page on checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies there, such as
__stripe_midand__stripe_sid, for fraud prevention and to process your payment. These are strictly necessary for payment. See Stripe's cookie policy. - Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google's servers. Google Fonts doesn't set cookies, but Google receives your IP address and browser details when fonts load. See our Privacy Policy.
- Video: the video on our homepage is served from genesisbox.org, not from YouTube or another platform, so no third-party video cookies are set.
4. If this changes
If we ever add a third-party analytics or marketing tool, it will only run after you agree to it on Cookie Preferences, and this policy will list them first.
5. Your control
You can change your choices at any time on Cookie Preferences. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
