Shipping & Delivery

How and when Devices ship, what delivery costs, and what happens with customs, batteries and damaged parcels.

Last updated 11 September 2026 · Applies to genesisbox.org, GenesisOne and GenesisBox

In short: nothing ships yet. Before any Device ships, we confirm in writing where we can deliver, the delivery window, the shipping cost and any import charges. Only then do you decide whether to pay the balance.

1. Where things stand

GenesisOne and GenesisBox are currently available to reserve. We don't ship Devices until production is confirmed and you've paid the balance. Your reservation confirmation email is not a shipping notice.

2. Where we ship

We plan to ship to the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries where we can deliver safely and legally. When we confirm your order, we'll tell you whether we can deliver to your address. If we can't, your deposit is refunded in full.

3. Delivery windows

We confirm an estimated delivery window before you pay the balance. If we expect to miss that window, we'll email you as soon as we know, with a new date. If delivery slips by more than 30 days beyond the confirmed window, you can cancel and receive a full refund of everything you've paid.

4. Shipping costs

Shipping costs depend on the Device, the destination and whether a solar power kit is included. They're shown separately in your confirmed offer, before you pay.

5. Taxes, duties and customs

  • Within the EU: there are no customs duties. VAT is charged as shown in your offer.
  • Outside the EU: import duties, local taxes and customs-brokerage fees may apply, and they're paid by the recipient unless your offer says they're included. We'll tell you what we know in advance. Refusing a parcel to avoid import charges may mean return shipping costs are deducted from your refund.

6. Batteries and solar kits

Lithium batteries are classed as dangerous goods for transport, and air freight is heavily restricted. Depending on your country, the Device, its battery pack or a solar power kit may ship separately, by road or sea, or be supplied by a regional partner. This can affect delivery times. We'll explain the arrangement for your order before you pay.

7. Tracking

When your order ships, we'll email you the carrier and a tracking link.

8. Receiving your order

Please check the parcel when it arrives. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note it with the carrier if you can, take photos, and tell us at info@genesisbox.org. This doesn't affect your legal rights.

9. Loss or damage in transit

For consumers, the Device is our responsibility until it's delivered to you or to someone you've named. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement or refund you, once we've checked with the carrier.

10. Business orders

For organizations, delivery terms (including Incoterms) are set in the quote and our Business Terms.
